Talk to Strangers
You have to be able to sell yourself before you can sell something else. People buy into the person before they buy into the pitch. What do you need in the moment? Pitch to only those people. If you need money, you pitch to investors. If you need customers, pitch to shoppers. If you need creditability, pitch to influential people.
Before selling your company’s narrative, you need to know your audience intimately to form a comprehensive marketing strategy. Do this first so as not to stifle your creativity with the quantitative analysis you will perform as part of the strategy development framework.
The objective of consumer analysis is to identify segments or groups within a population with similar needs so that your marketing efforts can be directly targeted to them.
