Stop Hitting Yourself

What if I sold you a hammer that made you wiser, but the only way to do it was to hit yourself in the head. You take the hammer and bang it against your skull and immediately drop it from the pain. You learned not to hit yourself in the head with the hammer.

Is there an external pressure or situation trying to make you behave a certain way? Imagine it as if a bully grabs you by the wrists at the jungle gym and they force you to slap yourself repeatedly. What you believe becomes reality, so how do you identify when you are “hitting yourself?”

Be decisive! If you don’t like your story, then just change it. If you’re not willing to change, then you have to move on and do something else with no complaining because you are the director of your story.

Rethink your belief system. Who’s voice do you hear in your mind? When faced with conflicting ideas or some- thing that is ‘just because’ doesn’t make sense, whether thats questioning a relationship, friendship, career path, political belief, social norm, etc, etc.
