By The End Of The Day

I woke up Monday morning tired and in need of a break. Not a good start to the work week. Sometime’s the weekend can’t rejuvenate you like you would have hoped, so you’re left dragging you feet as emails and deliverables pile up at your desk.

The good news is that you’ve been through this before. A mountain is nothing but a series of steps and you don’t think about the summit when you have hundreds of steps before it. Make a short list of things that need to get done and focus on accomplishing those tasks. Taking an otherwise exhausting feeling for an unbearable day into little improvements made each hour to be in a better place by the end of the day.

Focus on the micro and not the macro. This is true to most everything. Little by little, you’re stripping the layers that make up the whole into bite sized pieces.
